Welcome to the June/July e-edition of Inprint. It feels
surreal to think that just 3 months ago, the marketing
               team were anticipating the March/April issue landing Issue 62 | June/July 2020
on our desks. Although we are always interested in
looking for any positives in the current situation, we 4 6
can’t ignore that this has been an extremely difficult
time on both an individual and business level.
It was vital to us, as soon as lockdown began, to get an
understanding of how COVID-19 was affecting you and your
business, therefore we very quickly put out our first survey COVID-
on Business Impact, followed by our second survey on
Government Support Schemes. Details on the results of these
surveys can be found on page 20. Our CEO, Charles Jarrold also SECURE
touches on our lobbying during this time in our Q&A on page 4.
In order to keep you connected and supported during
this time, BPIF have held weekly webinars (The Print
Network Webinar Series) over the past 8 weeks which are
set to continue, to provide you with invaluable information
and guidance on a range of topics. These are now taking
a closer look into the ‘return to work’ phase, and new
ways of running your business. The webinar series (page 20
               11) has been set up, not just to replace events we have 11
unfortunately had to cancel, but to find new ways of
collaborating, offering anecdotal business tips and even
just to see some friendly faces at 1pm each Thursday.
Almost overnight, we have had to either postpone or
cancel events for the rest of the year. This has motivated
us to collaborate and up our engagement to ensure we all
stay connected. BPIF have been part of partner member
events (in record time without the commute!), virtual Over 600
experiences, seen experts on restructure, a ‘historian of
the future’, and a wonderful virtual teaser of our Visual
Media Conference, due to take place in September, with two redundancies are currently
speakers making time to be with us – one in Atlanta and anticipated once JRS ends,
one in Yorkshire! People have had less (but more) time to this equates to about 4%
